Lecturers from the Department of Media and Public Communications (UNESCO Chair on Media and Information Literacy and Cultural Policies for Sustainable Development) participated in the international conference QED’25: “Designing Educational Ecosystems for the Future. The Role of Digital Technologies,” held under the patronage of the Bulgarian National Commission for UNESCO. The conference, organized in a hybrid format, was a continuation of the global forum EDUsummIT’25, which took place in Dublin in the summer of 2025. Together with colleagues from the other two active UNESCO Chairs in Bulgaria — the UNESCO Chair on Information and Communication Technologies in Library Studies, Education and Cultural Heritage at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT), and the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Culture of Peace at the Burgas Free University — Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria Nikolova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stella Angova, and Chief Assistant Prof. Dr. Ivan Valchanov contributed to discussions on the future of education and the role of digital technologies in shaping sustainable educational ecosystems. The meeting represented an important step towards the exchange of experience, enhanced collaboration, and the sharing of national and international contributions of Bulgaria’s UNESCO Chairs to the advancement of education and the promotion of sustainable development.
The members of the UNESCO Chair on Media and Information Literacy and Cultural Policies for Sustainable Development regularly share the results of their work in media in their capacity of experts in the field of media and information literacy and cultural policies:
