INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

The Master programme INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS (Магистърска програма "Международен бизнес с преподаване на английски език") was developed on the basis of consultations with managers of leading Bulgarian companies that participate in international business and with representatives of the state administration that regulate this activity. It has a strong European orientation and is in line with the latest trends in the development of the global economy.

The purpose of the program is to prepare students for work in organizations that implement international economic activities. Graduates fulfill the specific requirements for holding positions at senior and middle management levels in state and local administration and in companies with international operations. They have the necessary qualifications to work in international economic, commercial and financial institutions, as well as in multinational companies.

Program Overview

The Master’s in International Business is a two-semester, full-time program taught in English by the Department of International Economic Relations and Business at UNWE. It was developed in close collaboration with managers from leading Bulgarian companies engaged in international trade as well as state regulators, ensuring strong practical relevance. The curriculum has a distinctly European perspective and reflects up-to-date trends in the global economy.

  • Train managers and experts for organizations that operate internationally.
  • Equip graduates for middle and senior management roles in national and local administration as well as privately owned firms with cross-border operations.
  • Prepare professionals to work in international economic, commercial, and financial institutions, including multinational corporations.

 

Academic Structure & Curriculum

  • Duration: 2 semesters (one academic year), full-time.
  • Language: Entirely in English
  • Course Delivery: Practical, case-based learning aligned with feedback from industry leaders.
  • Core Focus Areas: Strategy, investment, operations, trade regulations, cross-cultural management, and European integration.

The coursework is updated periodically through consultations with business and government stakeholders to remain current and practice-driven.
