Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev

19 November 2015 UNWE, Sofia

Dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the creation

of the department "Economic Sociology"

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizational committee I am pleased to invite you to participate in the Jubilee Scientific Conference: "Economic Sociology 4.0", which will be held on 19 November 2015 in the University of National and World Economy.

The aim of the conference is to present the main theses, theories and methods contributing to the development of contemporary economic sociology. The goal is to identify new challenges and tasks facing the economic sociology in the era of globalization and acute social, economic and political contradictions.

The conference theme "Economic Sociology 4.0" is a reference to the book of Anatole Kaletsky "Capitalism 4.0: The Birth of New Economy in the Aftermath of Crisis." It is looking for a wide scientific platform for discussion about the state and the future possibilities for development of the economic sociology in Bulgaria and also in a wider international context: what are the changes and the trends that shape contemporary societies; how to adapt to them; what conclusions can be made and what are the possible ways to solve acute social problems.

The reports from the conference which are accepted for publication will be published in a collection with editorial board and with an ISBN number. The book will be published by the end of March 2016.

I wish you a successful and fruitful participation in the conference!

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andrei Nonchev,
