Dear students,

We are pleased to inform you that the Youth Essay Competition 2022 of the SME Assembly under the auspices of the European Commission has been opened.

The theme of this year's edition of the competition is "Our European economies are highly dependent on fossil fuel energies. How can future young entrepreneurs contribute to a more sustainable economy?" and absolutely all young people from 18 to 25 years of age can apply, both from EU member states and from their neighbors and representatives of those who are partners of the Union. The three finalists get the opportunity to present their ideas to entrepreneurs from all over Europe, as well as to members from various departments of the EC and other organizations supporting entrepreneurship. The competition covers all expenses for the finalists' visit during the Assembly. The winner automatically becomes a member of the jury for the next edition of the competition.

The deadline for submitting the essay is 7 October 2022.
