ANNIVERSARY SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

10 years of Regional Development Department -

science, education and practice

Dear colleagues and friends,

We are pleased to invite you to celebrate together 10 years since the establishment of the "Regional Development" department, with the jubilee scientific conference "10 YEARS OF THE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT: SCIENCE, EDUCATION AND PRACTICE", which will take place on October 23, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. in a large conference hall of the University of National and World Economy, Sofia.

The scientific forum will create a discussion environment for sharing innovative ideas between researchers, state institutions, business, municipalities, non-governmental organizations, teachers, doctoral students and students involved in the socio-economic development of the Bulgarian regions.

The goals of the forum are to build on the scientific results achieved so far, to create opportunities for creative discussions and to support the building of new partnerships.

Scientific research is concentrated in four main thematic directions:

1. Theoretical framework and contemporary trends in regional science

2. Training and professional realization in regional development

3. Application of regional studies in public policies

4. Innovative approaches to regional management (section for students and doctoral students)

The authors will be able to develop and present the results of their research in two working languages: Bulgarian and English.

The results of the scientific forum will be published in the conference proceedings!

The Regional Development Department at the University of National and World Economy highly appreciates the added value of active partnership in joint activities and projects.
