 WHAT IS THE ESSENCE OF THE MASTER PROGRAMME?

 The master programme “International Business” has been elaborated after consultations with managers of leading Bulgarian companies doing business abroad and with representatives of the state administration which regulates these business activities. It aims at giving the students profound theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in such fields as global economics and contemporary trends in its development, region-specific practices in international business, global strategic management, corporate governance, quantitative decision-making methods. During their studies, students can also choose among additional areas of interest, for example: global supply chains, international negotiations and cross-cultural competence, international financial management, marketing management, project management, portfolio management, international trade law. The programme is constantly being adapted to the latest trends in international economy, business, marketing, management and finance. It has a strong practical orientation. The partnership between the “International Economic Relations and Business” Department and Bulgarian companies and public organizations involved in international business enable students to participate in real-world projects and internships, and develop a successful and valuable master theses.

 WHAT COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS DOES IT DEVELOP IN STUDENTS?

 The master programme “International Business” provides to its graduates:
• Knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of doing business abroad;
• Skills for analyzing real business cases, resolving problems and making decisions, as well as specific leadership skills necessary to work in international business environment.
• Competences for critical thinking, cognitive competences, communicative and social competences and professional competences in the field of international business and its dimensions.

 WHAT METHODS ARE USED IN TRAINING?

 A combination of different teaching techniques and methods is applied in training, such as: lectures and seminars with Power Point presentations; discussions of reports, surveys and case studies; outsourced training in a real business environment or administration; individual assignments in accordance with the specific preferences and capabilities of the students.

 TO WHOM AND WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND THIS MASTER PROGRAMME?

 The accelerated processes of internationalization and globalization, as well as the variability of the international business environment, require managers and experts in organizations operating in this environment to know how to deal with challenges in order to achieve success.
